Triumph Tiger 800 – Crash Bars and Engine Guards System
One of the biggest advantages of our crash bars system is the all around 27mm diameter tubing that rests on 5mm thick steel mounting tabs and offers reliable protection for fairing, radiator, engine case and other parts of the engine.
The design is based on the philosophy that less is often more, hence we created a compact, sturdy set of crash bars that do not reach far away from its mounting points. This system perfectly complements the sporty, aggressive lines of the Triumph Tiger 800.
Compatible with all models of Triumph Tiger 800 (2010-2018).
Quality 27mm/1.06″ steel tube with 2mm wall thickness – any low quality steel tubing BELOW THESE SPECS will be crushed when your 450lbs bikes crashes into the ground. Our crash bars will take the beat!
Less is often more. We didn’t try to cover the whole entire bike with crash bars that look like a cobweb. The Triumph Tiger 800 models have very few tough mounting points, thus it makes more sense to create one solid and compact crash bar that stays close to the few mounting points instead of being far spread out that results in an overly flexible and “soft” structure. It will do more damage to your Tiger 800! Our compact and tough crash bars are the only way to go here to truly protect your Triumph’s expensive and fragile parts.
Powder coated – combined with sandblasting it’s a killer combination to protect your product’s surface. No frills and tough just like your ADV/Dual Sport bike!

New Release: now selling our upper crash bars in original KTM orange!
One of our upper crash bars’ biggest advantage is the non-floating design. To achieve this, we’ve developed a heavy-duty bracket to support the upper section of the crash bars, thus the structure is reinforced to avoid flexing and collapsing during impact of a crash.
Furthermore, we reduced the additional weight by using the same 22mm diameter tubing as the KTM factory crash bars, as opposed to other manufacturers who use 25 or even 27mm diameter tubing without proper support, such as the Outback Motortek signature bracket system. Please read below to find out more about our KTM Adventure upper crash bars features.
Please note: your KTM 1090/1190/1290R/S must be equipped with factory KTM lower crash bars to complete the fitment of our upper crash bars.
It’s wide. It’s heavy. It’s vulnerable. And last but not least it’s expensive. One of the first things that gets exposed to potential damage in the event of a crash is your Africa Twin 1000’s engine (case).
Right off the bat, you can see that it’s more than just an engine guard. The 27mm diameter reinforcement bar ties the engine guard and the crash bars together, increasing the strength of the overall system. This design allows for even large impacts to be distributed throughout the entire system, minimizing damage to the bike’s engine, frame and other vital components.
The engine guards are secured entirely onto the frame using 4 and 5mm steel tabs, knowing that the engine cases are the most exposed in all tip-overs, we designed these for maximum strength.
Only compatible with Outback Motortek Africa Twin 1000 crash bars which are sold separately. Confirmed to be compatible with Outback Motortek and Honda OEM Africa Twin 1000 skid plates.
